Melandri to make MotoGP debut with Yamaha at Valencia
Preparations for the 2003 MotoGP World Championship continue at Valencia next week, where the centre of attention is sure to be 250cc World Champion Marco Melandri, as the Italian makes his debut aboard the four-stroke Yamaha M1. The official Yamaha entourage will be at the Ricardo Tormo circuit on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the 4th to 6th December, with Melandri joined on track by factory colleagues Carlos Checa, Alex Barros and Olivier Jacque.
Before that new Honda recruit Nicky Hayden makes his first appearance on the RC211V alongside his team-mate and reigning MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi in a two day HRC test on Monday and Tuesday, the 2nd and 3rd December.
『Also joining the World Champion will be other official HRC riders including Japanese pair Daijiro Kato and Tohru Ukawa, Italian Max Biaggi and Spaniard Sete Gibernau. 』
