..... 他說上山沒力,是因空氣稀薄之故 他說我可以轉用汽車用油
原文:Discussing about the Motorcycle oil. Hello, motor oil expert. Recently I had read your article from http://www.yft.org/tex_vfr/tech/oil.htm. And I am thinking if I can change to use the more cheaper automobile motor oil from motorcycle motor oil. My father just bought a box of Chevron Supreme SL, SAE 20W-50 from Costco. The related web page is here : http://www.chevron.com/prodserv/nafl/auto/content/motoroils.shtm which indicated that this oil may using on motorcycle and not displaying "Energy Conserving" at API donut. But there is an enviromental problem here, I am a *Taiwanese*. Due to the old Taiwan traffic policy, Taiwan's motorcycle should be at lower engine displacement, say under 150CC. (For now, Taiwan become a member of WTO, so this elder political limit had been canceled) So the most percentage of motorcycle in Taiwan are air cooled engine now, so the engine temperature is the point. My motorcycle is Yamaha SR-150, so it's engine displacement is at 147CC, 5-speed manual drive, with an air cooled engine. Currently using Yamaha 'dino' motorcycle motor oil. When I rode my bike to the mountain, I feel my engine power is weakening, maybe the reason is engine overheating or too less engine displacement. Should I really changing to use automobil motor oil ?
回覆: *** It might be that as you go into the mountains, at higher elevation there is less air, so the motorcycle runs weaker. The type of oil should not make much difference.
