Rossi with fresh helmet decoration in memory of Sheene
Double MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi completed laps at the Circuit de Catalunya test this afternoon with a new helmet design paying homage to the late Motorcycle racing legend Barry Sheene.
The Italian, famed for his flamboyant gestures - he once had his bike and kit painted in Hawaiian colours for his home GP - took to the circuit with a day-glo coloured lid adorned with two number ´7´s, the number synonymous with the British 500cc World Champion in 1976 and 1977 who passed away due to cancer earlier this week.
Rossi also had the word ´Pace´ emblazoned on the back of the helmet, which is Italian for ´Peace´.
